MOVED WITH COMPASSION

God is a good God! Do you really know that? God is no respecter of persons. If he’ll do it for anyone, he’ll do it for you. If within your heart you’ll just reach out to him, he’ll meet you right where you are. I used to sit in meetings and I thought, “You know God, that sounds good!”, and I believed what I heard, but I didn’t fully suspect he’d really do it for me. I remember when I wanted the baptism in the Holy Ghost and I thought, “God is good, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit is really wonderful and sweet but could it really happen to me”? I was in that tarrying bunch, just tarrying, and tarrying, enduring till the end till the Lord was ready for me to receive. I finally realized that God’s not looking for a bunch of flying nuns who at the tip of their hats can take off flying! He’s looking for yielded vessels. If you are a yielded vessel, yielded to the Lord, then you are ready to receive from God.

Daily life can include any number of unexpected events and I want to impart a bit of wisdom to you that you need to hide in your heart as a preventive measure to secure the miracle God has for you. No matter what your current situation may be, financial status, reputation, medical diagnosis, marital relationship (or the lack of), vices that require your undivided attention and devotion, emotional distress, mental torment, depression, and an endless list of unfortunate situations known to man; no matter what you’re shuffling through, even if it’s a secret that no in the whole world knows other than yourself; God doesn’t just handle emergencies well! Before you had the need, he had the provision. Before you got the disease or illness, he had the cure. Before you had the problem, he had the solution. God is more than equipped to meet you and your need no matter what it is, whether it’s big in your eyes, or little, great or small, God does care and he will move for you and meet your need.

I’ve found out over the years that what we believe can separate us, but (in) whom we believe (Jesus), will always bring us together! If we belong to Him, we’re hooked up in the same socket and we need to just get in there and work together. God is a good God and I sense in my spirit that he wants to do something special in your life.

In the pages to follow, we will recount some great testimonies as recorded in the holy scriptures such as the (once) blind Bartemaeus who received his sight, the two blind men who stood hollering, Jesus, thou son of David, you can if only you will, heal me. The Word says that Jesus stood still and was moved with compassion and did it! It’s awfully easy when folks aren’t receiving their healing for ministers, pastors, and bible teachers to shrug it off as doubt and unbelief, but just what if instead of doing as Jesus did, standing still and hearing the cry of the blind, and being moved with compassion, we’re too busy moving period?

Is it possible in this day of big ministry that perhaps many ministers are too busy building their ministries, warming up to contributors, building a bigger following, and even bigger buildings to stand still, much less to stand still for a blind man, or one who is handicapped and doesn’t have anything to offer? Honey, Jesus is standing still and listening to your hearts cry and if you’ll take the time to pour your heart out to him, he will move with compassion for you and those whom you love from the depths of your very soul. Jesus was never too busy to stand still and hear the cry of the blind and needy and he’s not too busy to stand still and hear your cry too, and just as surely as he hears it, he will be moved with every bit as much compassion for you as he was for the blind men in the New Testament. He was moved with compassion and they were healed from that moment on.

You know, at the slightest suggestion of God moving with compassion, I can testify to so many thousands upon thousands of occasions when I, myself, have witnessed first-hand, Jesus moving with compassion and touching lives so greatly I yet stand in awe and marvel at the awesomeness of his mighty, miracle-working power. One particular experience I want to share with you happened in the life of my closest, dearest, most loyal, and beloved friend, a man whose love and unshakeable confidence shall always move me to continue in my labors of love to reach anyone and everyone that’s reachable and to share with them what I shared with him in that God will be glorified!
