The Virgin Mary, Jesus' mother, and his brothers were in the Upper Room waiting with the others to be baptized in the Holy Spirit!

What happened to all of these people can be seen in Acts 2:4:

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Did you notice the little three-letter-word, "all"? They ALL spoke in tongues when the Holy Spirit filled them. That means, Mary (Jesus' Mother), and his brothers were "tongue-talkers"! Now, if Jesus' mama spoke in tongues, mine and yours should too! Thank-God, mine does! If Jesus' brothers spoke in tongues, so should ours!

The apostle Paul, whom we accredit for writing two-thirds of the New Testament, was another "tongue-talker" who was so grateful to be Spirit-filled. He certainly made his stand crystal clear when he said in 1Corinthians 14:18:

I thank my God I speak with tongues more than ye all.

The next verse is one that denominational churches use to try and say that one shouldn't speak in tongues. Let's look at it.

1Corinthians 14:19:

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with understanding, That by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

Paul is very clear on when to talk in your own language, having to do with church. When you are teaching others, speak in your own language! In other words, I can stand up and teach you the Lord's Prayer if I speak in a language that you can understand. However, if I only speak in tongues in the pulpit, you will not learn the Lord's Prayer because you cannot understand what I'm saying.

My stand is steadfast and unshakeable on the infilling of the Holy Spirit. If Jesus' mother Mary was filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues, and Jesus' brothers were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues, and Paul, who was filled with the Holy Ghost proudly testified and said that he thanked God that he not only spoke in tongues, but that he spoke in tongues more than all the others! If Paul, who wrote two-thirds of the New Testament spoke in tongues, then every minister of the Gospel should!

This is good company to be in! Mary, Jesus' brothers, Apostle Paul, Ronnie Pierce, and YOU!

The compassion and love that will so infill you when you experience this wonderful infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4) cannot be expressed nor described with mere words. No words can even come close to the joy we receive, and give to others when we receive this wonderful Comforter that Jesus sent to us.

Being filled with the Holy Ghost and keeping filled with the Holy Ghost is the sure way to being moved with compassion. In fact, Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost (Matthew 3:11). He, and only He, can baptize you with the Holy Ghost. He is moved with compassion and so are you and I when we yield ourselves to the Lord Jesus completely, and surrender our whole selves to him and allow him to fill us with His Spirit.

Do keep in mind as you pray and seek the Lord for this wonderful experience of receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it may not occur when things are hunky-dorey, and I will assure you that Satan will try every trick of the trade to sidetrack you, rail-road you, and discourage you because he knows how dangerous you will be to his kingdom when you receive this power (Acts 1:8).
