In Luke 7:11-15, it says:

And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And he came and touched the bier; and they that bare him stood still, and he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. And there came a fear on all; and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

Do you know what the main ingredient was behind such a great demonstration of God's miracle working power? It wasn't just the anointing, or word, or just some good singing, or some wonderful offering, or some wonderful, normal church service. It was a supernatural compassion that you can't just work-up and you can't manufacture it. It's either God or it's not God!

You know, I've found one thing that the devil cannot imitate. He can entertain you; I mean he can really cut the rug! Just look at some of the entertainment that's out there. He can put on the biggest show; it'll give you goose- pimples on your duck- bumps! He'll sing How Great Thou Art and even I want to cry! But one thing he cannot counterfeit is true compassion. Compassion fails not. It always gets the job done and when it moves toward you, you will know it! Nobody has to tell you or draw you a picture, or tell you if that was or wasn't compassion. It'll change your life and it'll change your ministry. It'll change your home and you'll not be the same once his compassion moves in your direction. His compassion will get the job done. There's no lingering around and waiting and carrying on forever and forever. When his compassion comes, you'll not be the same as before. Jesus had compassion on that little widow woman whose only son had died and he raised her son from the dead.

I tell you here and now, by the Spirit of the Lord, that we are in the last days, a day when there are many voices and they all tend to quote scripture. But there is only one real move of God and that's the one that's filled with compassion, that's not too busy for you whether you're a big-shot or not! Whether you're a somebody or whether you think you aren't worth the air you breathe, true ministry, true compassion knows no respecter of persons!

I've met so many ministers across the country who I seriously wondered why they didn't just call themselves entertainers. But something I want to tell you about Jesus, he was moved with compassion and he is still moved with compassion. He loves every one of us equally and to him there are no big "I's", or little "U's". We all shall stand before God as individuals as well as ministers and our perception and treatment of all of God's people will be judged. What we do unto those considered to be the least among us, we've done it unto him!
